Description
the ability to administer what content type to display, instead of showing all.

second that, with multiple-select to choose more than one type to display

Hmmm, a bit too quick comment above, did not see anything in the interface right away, but then I spotted the following info which I am trying to figure out how works:
Where is this done?
- How to get the content types as tabs?
- How to select only some categories (=terms...?) or levels from a vocabulary so not all terms from it is shown? Or is not that the idea? I think that the above sentence perhaps is not promising that, and if it is not, it could instead be rephrased into something more specific, like:
"- Ability to display terms from a certain vocabulary as tabs, then users can filter posts to terms from that vocabulary"
I set this as a support request instead, and filing a new feature request regarding the multiple-select.

oops, what happened, didnt I close the blockquote properly, ommiting the slash, perhaps? Ended up with a nested new blockquote instead of closing the one I wanted. Oh well. The last one is my comments and not a quote.(blockquote in my previous comment corrected)#4
It's this possible??? I just want to display some of my content types... and I don't want to hack the queries or something, as I imagine most of people will also want to hide some content type from there...
Simple but nice module.
Looking forward to be able to do that...
#5
hm, this must be a feature request, as features are not in place?
#6
Well... I copy&pasted that sentence... from your post!
Uhm... yep, then it's a feature request...
Do you know if this module is still in development / maintained ? I wish it is...
#7
It is maintained as long as people need it AND are willing to contributed patches for the features they need.

User ferrangil writes in another issue:

Yep, and I was trying to use the patch or even the xtracker.module file posted in here http://drupal.org/node/36836
But it's an old version, and doesn't work at all. I wish I could adapt the old patch, but I don't think I'm capable to do that..
So, I think there's no option (yet) to do it in Drupal 5.
