Is there any correct or recommended size for the background images in the textimage module (for use with captchas, that is)? It looks like there's some size scaling going on in the code, but I can't quite make out what's going on.

I thought I'd bump this old topic up, as there doesn't seem to be an answer or any other related discussion, and I'd sure like to know too.

I saved the image generated when no background images are present, and it seems to be a consistant size of 152 (width) by 77 (height).

I dropped that into Fireworks and came up with a few dozen interesting backdrops. Some SEEMED to work at the start, but others would end up with a "squished" appearance, with black borders on the sides. And of course, the font colors are always dark, and thus the letters on the edges become unreadable. Any ideas? Anyone?

Also, the file format I'm using is JPEG, though that isn't stated explicity.
