This sounds like a php 5.3 bug somewhere, can you confirm the version you are using?

Same error:

when I install chamilo module in my drupal site (localhost, drupal 6.2, PHP: 5.3.5), after activate the new chamilo module 6.x, it´s appear:

Fatal error: Only variables can be passed by reference in C:\xampp\htdocs\drupal\modules\chamilo\chamilo.install on line 72

Instaling my chamilo site, appears:

Notice: Only variable references should be returned by reference in C:\xampp\htdocs\chamilo\main\inc\lib\main_api.lib.php on line 3500

The link you wrote give a "NOT FOUND" error and another people has wrote the same.
