I´m currently evaluating if I can use drupal for my community content website.
One of the core features I envision to implement to provide a great user navigation is multi-facetted drill-down.
Similar to what is described in http://www.lullabot.com/articles/drill_down_system
or what amazon.com is doing.

Has anyone done something similar? Is there a drupal website that does it?
How can you do it? I´ve seen people talking about doing it with categories, but
a) I have not seen it
b) I don´t understand yet, how I´d do that
c) is the Category Module stable enough with 4.7 and other modules?

I´d really love to uise drupalk, so any help, leads would be very much appreciated.

It's one of those things that someone is always working on, somewhere, but no one ever gets around to finishing. Theoretically you can do something similar with the activeselect module for categories, but I wasn't able to get it working. I believe dfletcher was working on an ajax multiselect form last, but he's been understandably busy with paying work.
