Full-size images on front page with image module?

eagereyes - October 26, 2006 - 02:23

In a blog, I would like to post photos, just like regular entries. They should show up on the front page as full-sized pictures, not thumbnails. Is there a way to do this? I know I can just use a story and insert the image with imce, but it would be much more logical to post images as images. Any opinions/ideas?

do you mean images as nodes

do you mean images as nodes ? if so thats what the image.module does.

Yes, image.module

But that makes a thumbnail on the frontpage (or in any list), and I can't seem to find a way to make it show the full image there.

Just to explain the idea, the photo is the whole content of the post. It's like a photoblog, but as part of another blog. So it should always be the full size, and never a thumbnail.

EDIT: I also just tried changing the thumbnail size so that the thumbs are not smaller than the image, but that's not practical because I also post images that I want to have thumbnails for. I just want to be able to pick what to show where ...

Have you find a solution of the problem? Thanks

you may want to post this as

you may want to post this as a feature request on the image.module project page.

A brief scan of the repository showed me a module called image scaling ? maybe you would want to take a closer look at it with regards to your needs.

The only way I can get

The only way I can get images uploaded via the Image module to show full size on the homepage is to upload them, create a blog post and embed the full sized images in them. Has anyone come across a way to fix this yet, as it's very annoying...
