Two and a half years ago I first posted on the forum. Back then I used XOOPS. My question was whether to install Drupal 5 or 6. Drupal 6 was pretty young then, and a lot of modules did not support it yet. I chose 6, and extremely happy about it, running 4-5 websites on Drupal 6.
Now this is that time of the year. I am about to create my first commercial website based on Drupal. The website will use an RTL language, and will need an RTL theme. It will use the Ubercart module, and I will have to translate it to that language.
The website should be operational in about 4-5 months. Reading that a beta of 7.0 might be released in a month, I expect that by then a working version will be available - but I will be happy with one of the latest betas as well. The question is whether the Ubercart and Ubercart Marketplace will be ready for 7.0 by then. I suspect that not.
So... What should I use? Drupal 6 or 7? And realistically, how long do you think before UC and UC marketplace will be ready for Drupal 7.0?
Back then I decided to go with the newer 6. Right now I think that I might need to choose 6 as well.

Stick with Drupal 6
Do not assume that Drupal 7 will be released in a month.
Stick with Drupal 6.
Ditto
It's been longer than a month now, and no beta of 7.0. Perhaps it's better to go with the current stable version, particularly since you want any kinks worked out by the time your customers show up. If 6.0 does what you need now, go with that.
This is the second post I've
This is the second post I've seen you mention Drupal 7 is still in alpha. There are TWO beta relases and the RC is just around the corner. Please don't respond when you don't actually know.
