Work out which page of a view a node is on

I'm wanting to build a URL redirect to solve this problem here basically what I need to do is given a specific node I need to say which page (i.e. page 1, 2 or 3 etc of a listing) of a drupal view (assuming that the view has paging turned on) is this particular node displayed on.

I'm planning to use a rule to redirect to calculated new URL but actually I'm having some problems with the rule too so if you're good with rules I'd love to hear from you on this post
