Questions about "How to categorize, edit and upload content to a Drupal website"

Hello there,

I want to build a simple website where i will post content like: software reviews, articles, scripting samples and some tutorials.

My problem is that I am not able to figure out a way to make a few categories, have buttons in the primary links list for them and easily publish content for these categories.

Also i would like to find a module that allows me to easily edit/format the content i am going to publish.
You know... i want to bold the text by selecting it and pushing the "B" button and not write html code.

Do you have any suggestions for me?
