Would it be possible to have an option to allow for a sound to be played when a message is submitted via the shoutbox.
Have found this feature to be particularly useful on some sites.

Hmm...the JS doesn't really know what's new and what's old. Whenever it's time to update, it just pulls the last X shouts and posts them. It's definitely possible, but I'm not going to work on this now being that Shoutbox, and the other module I maintain, have a long list of features to work on. If you or another developer wants to take a stab at it, I'd be glad to see.

That doesn't seem like a problem.. if new messages... sound, else... no sound....

I don't do ajax or java stuff though :P.
