Whle the module worked fine on my development server [running windows,Apache, mysql 4 php 4],
it doesn't work on the live server [OS linux, all else the same].
The modules are the same on local and live servers.

Simply put, when I enable the module, the advanced search option disappears completely.

Any ideas on where I might look to reslove this?

Hello Alan,

Go to "administer->settings->search" you will the the advance search settings at the bottom of the page, this is where you do the configuration. Hope this helps.

I've gone there to config the module.. but that's where its a bit odd.
The checkbox for 'disable advanced search form' isn't checked at all, but the whole 'advanced search form' disappears, when I perform a search.

Its not an access control thing, as far as I can see.

Would it be a module/theme conflict?

Does the user have the permission to access the advance form? Under admin/access the search_config module has some permissions that will override any of the settings that you configure, please check to make sure the user has permission to access the advance form.
