Hi

I am really missing here Per user album functionality.
It is partially supported, but some important functionalities are missing

there is some place where I can see all some user albums. It is true, that GA supports something like it, and it is tab Galleries on user profile.
but this place (variable) could be available through views

e. g. now I am trying to create view with list of all user galleries, sorted by last updated time, but so far I can understand it, it is not possible, because there is no such a field in views.
I can listed only all GA albums, and filter it if they are listed in user albums. What is nice but not enough for this feature.

If I has e.g. 3 users, and they have together 600 albums, I don't want to got view with 600 links, just 3 links to 3 user's albums (with some info about that user's album)
Example:
*** Igorik's user album, containing 150 albums. Last update 10 minutes ago.;
*** Michal's user album, has 400 albums, last update 20 hours ago
*** Peter's user album, has 50 albums, last update 1 year ago.

Final view of "User's galleries will contain 3 links, to Igorik''s, Michal's and Peter's user gallery"
and only after when I click on this user album link, I got view/list with every albums what that user created (based on privacy)
as it is now: user/$uid/user_galleries

thanks
Igor

Hi

I am just curious what you are thinking about this - if you are thinking about it as good addon for your gallery, and if you think it will be possible to get this field - these main user albums and it's last update info, into views fields in close future.

thanks and have a nice day
Igor

Hi Igorik,

i tried your proposal in the GA test page and it works.
I give you right it is not to easy to configure the view for that but possible. I spent 20 minutes to create and upload the images from the example nodes and 10 minutes to create the view.

About what I am thinking regarding your request: all is Possible, only all things needs time, dedication etc. The sum of all is "work".

Regards
Juan Carlos

Hi Juan, it is great to hear it!

Would be possible to add these views into gallery_assist_views or setup for it into documentation?
It will be really helpful for many others to find how it works and how to setup this.

I tried to do this many times before I wrote here, but probably I haven't such skills with views and it's params and options like you.

thanks
Igor
