Is there a simple way to create a comment wall? The facebook status module isn't working right and the guestbook module is not user friendly. If you know a way to create a profile page comment that would email users letting them know they have a comment please let me know.

You could try Content Profile (to get user profile pages as nodes) and use Drupal's core Comments, coupled with Comment Notify

I stated already that I didn't want to use those modules so why list those links?

Thank you SweeneyTodd. Those links were exactly what I was looking for. You saved me a lot of time. I know it must be a sacrifice to take time out of your day to help the Drupal community, but it is appreciated. Hopefully someday I can return the favor to you or the community. Thank you.

I hope you found some new stuff in some of those discussions. I know there are several different options discussed rather than just Facebook Status and Guestbook but I did not go into depth to see what the conclusions were.
