This issue is based on the third agenda: call for "Quality Assurance" in the Redesign site.
At present we find two things that hamper the quality of the community nature of drupal.org
- spam posts : these are removed but there remains a lag time
- certain threads or posts are locked or removed which one or few webmasters/moderators have the supreme authority which cannot be questioned anywhere like an Ombudsman system
For this I suggest the following, while keeping the authority of the webmasters/mods intact
- implement this excellent lightweight module for automatically dealing with abuse module link
- when 2 or 3 or any predetermined number of users abuse report the comment gets auto unpublished
- since main stress on redesign site is "community" this system will be both very useful and transparent
- thus a good level of "Quality Assurance" offor the content can be maintained automatically
- this will free up time to answer these by the experienced wm/mods & we'll get even better Quality
I can help by uploading or ftping this module in the appropriate folder (if necessary details are given) and by enabling it.

drummThe redesign project is not a place to put in arbitrary features. We will of course continue to improve Drupal.org after this effort, but we can't expect to solve all problems and get it done.

kaakuu commentedThanks for your response and I appreciate your ongoing efforts.
However I object to the word "arbitrary features" - features like this that were never asked by the community was put arbitrarily for the sake of adding features but "Abuse Report" is a standard and consistent essential part of innumerable forums and community sites. Abuse report is not any loose arbitrary feature.
