This release marks the transition of drupal.org to Git.

Very little has changed in code since alpha2, the instructions themselves however have changed.
Mostly thanks to eliza411, halstead and others who looked at this during the community testing period.

The new administrative interfaces are in place.
All of the paths and documentation can be configured from this page.
Several replacement variables are available to make the process easier.
Instructions are now differentiated depending on if the project is a sandbox and if the person viewing it is a maintainer. We also display setup directions when nothing has yet been committed to the repository.
This module has taken responsibility for showing sandbox clone URLs on sandbox project pages.

Several issues still need to be completed before we can call this stable.
Most notably the integration with the versioncontrol API.
