The inline box editing links are very distracting, and the mess up page layout. They should be hidden by default, and only show when you hover over the box, much like the views module's edit links.

adamdicarlo commentedPerhaps it'd be even better to integrate them with the contextual.module (port of Admin-1.x's hover links), if it's installed.
lsolesen commentedInline editing is not a good idea when a box is in a sidebar. It totally messes up the layout. Just have the configure block with contextual lins. You will have instant visual feedback save and IMHO it is more user friendly.
adamdicarlo commentedYou can style the box editor so that it looks fine in the sidebar. If you've got views exposed filter blocks in the sidebar, you'll have to style sidebar forms anyway.
What are you suggesting? Not sure what you're saying gives the instant visual feedback you mentioned.
lsolesen commentedAh, just meant as soon as you click save, and close the admin overlay you will see the changes. Instant was probably the wrong word.
