Associated Images removed from node not deleted

Description
Removing attached images checking the "remove" checkbox ends up in the image being not deleted from the database.
IMO this is not correct since eith Image_tab each image can be used only once and with only one node, so maybe it would be better to delete it (also in case the node itself is deleted), or at least ask what to do.
what others think?
