Come together with the global Drupal community in Rotterdam, 28 Sept – 1 Oct 2026. Sessions, contribution, connection, and Early Bird savings until 8 June.I'm using Taxonomy Access Lite Create to limit which categories users can create content in. I have categories like so:
Athletics — Baseball — Basketball — Football Clubs — Band — Choir — Quiz Bowl
If I give a user Update privs on only Choir, the user still can't create content; I am required to give them access to both Choir and Clubs itself. This is undesirable, as I don't want users creating content in the parent categories.

Dave Cohen commentedBTW, it should work if you give them veiw permission on the parents, as a workaround until the problem is fixed.

lanny heidbreder commentedWell, giving them the View permission on the parent didn't work. But I'm not using those parent categories for anything in particular at this time, so giving them permission on both is no big deal for now.
