From other posts it seams like others have been able to connect with Interealty RETS. I understand it is not ideal and there are issues, but at least others have been able to connect and some functionality. I on the other hand have not been able to connect successfully. I have been provided the following information:

RETS login info:
Login URL:

User Agent ID:
Application password:

MLXchange login info
User ID:
Password:

I cant seam to be able to successfully test the server. How have others been able to connect to Interealty?

Thank you.

Connecting was easy.. Just wrote URL, user, name and user-string and boom working..

But synchronizing is a pain... All the time crashes, normall with a error with mysqli expecting parameter 1 to be result Boolean... Whatever that means...

Also some of the useful fields if you select them en it doesn't synchronize. Some of the fields sync after the last dev (like baths and others that appear in different classes) but some still crash it all (sqft) at least for my interealty rets.

Also there is some science to make the photos work, but it is mainly solved if you check the other issues.

Okay. Thanks. I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong. What did you use as the user-string? Is it the user agent ID? I was given the URL, Agent ID, Application password, User ID and password. URL, User ID and password seam strait forward. But what do I do with the Agent ID and Application password? Do those two combine to make up the user-string somehow?

Thanks again for the help.

The Application Password thing is a puzzling optional addition to RETS 1.7 (sections 3.4 and 3.10) which basically adds a second authentication layer besides the standard HTTP authentication layer that's already there. As with many things in the RETS standard, this is an unnecessary overcomplication, but fortunately, few servers seem to require it. akolahi, sorry, but you drew the short straw.

RETS currently does not support this feature, but I think it would be fairly easy to add, so I'm hoping someone can contribute or commission it.

The Agent ID is probably what you'd want to put in PIRETS' "User-Agent string" field.

Garrett,

Thanks for the reply and explanation. I would be willing to commission this functionality and if feasible better integration with Interealty (based on my understanding from other issues). If you or anyone else is interested, please feel free to contact me.
Thanks.

If you're interested in commissioning Precision Intermedia (the PI in PIRETS) to add functionality for you, please see the "Services" page on the PIRETS site.

I used the contact form many days ago and never received a reply. I assume either the form is not working, or it went to junk or something.

Sorry about that. Sometimes messages fall through the cracks. But it looks like my boss has since gotten in touch with you.
