Issue Summary
Great module! I've just been setting up some newsletters and really appreciate the functionality.
I would like an annual newsletter but find only day, month, and year options in the field 'send once per' of the group 'Schedule details'.
How can I add this functionality?
Thanks!

Sorry, I meant that I find only day, week, month options (not year).

The option sounds kinda silly for me. IMHO there is no need for an automatized solution in this length of time...

Thanks for the response. One of my sites serves an organization that needs an annual newsletter reminding members to update their contact information; once a month would be annoying to users and deter them from staying on the mailing list. It is always nice to have contingencies for silly occasions such as this, especially if it is reasonable to do so ;-).
Thanks!

That's not a newsletter, it sounds more like the Account reminder module.

Actually, that module is rather limited in that it is for users "registered with the site but have not yet logged in." And it is not necessarily just account reminders that I need, but rather specific messages to users with specific roles. I hope you consider adding this small provision to your module to help me out.
Sincerely,
Hardy

I would rather choose a more flexible way like #984770: Use a better backend for triggering events.

Agreed. Closing this as duplicate of that one.
