I am new to drupal and I recently went live with a new site, fantapedia.net. Today I deleted a duplicate comment I had posted through administrator -> comments. As far as I can tell something went wrong and ALL of the comments on my site were deleted. I ran a query against the comments table and it returned 0 results. The main page still shows the comment count, however if you go to a node with comments none are displayed with the excption of one new comment I posted after the delete. Can anyone tell me how this happened? Is it possible to recover the lost comments short of a DB restore?

I only had about 30 comments and it appears that new comments are working correctly. Here is the excerpt from the watchdog where it logs the delete actions. Notice how most of them occured at 20:13.

After doing some more searching on the forums I noticed this thread; http://drupal.org/node/67745. I looks like this issue has been seen before and was apparently patched. My production Drupal version is 4.7.2 and it looks like the patch was added a couple of weeks after 4.7.2 was released. I will need to update my site to make sure this does not happen again.
