Issue mail notification does not work for all issues

Did you subscribe to the issues for the issue queue for which you are expecting to get notifications? You need to subscribe to each issue queue you are interested to get notifications.

AFAIK, there is not a setting to subscribe by default to each issue queue, nor is there a difference between old and new projects.

I am not sure I understand what you mean by I'm subscribed to all issue queues that existed before I registered on drupal.org; anonymous users are not allowed to subscribe to any issue queues.

I'm experiencing the same thing. The first time you go to a project's issue queue subscription page none of the options are selected, and the subscriptions engine isn't smart enough / configured to have an automatic default. Any time I interact with a project (any project) for the first time I have to manually set the notification options otherwise I miss follow-ups (happens a lot as I forget to do this).

The question is:

• Is this a bug that nothing is selected by default?
• Is this a feature request to allow something to be selected by default?

The subscription engine seems to keep different settings for each project, and by default nothing is selected.

I think there is a feature report that ask to enable the subscriptions by default, at least for the new projects created by a user; if I find that issue, I will report here the link.

This has annoyed me for *years*, so it would be great to see it fixed.

IIRC, you used to be able to access a global subscription page, which let you set the subscription status for all projects in one go. This page became incredible slow due to the ever-growing list of projects and at some point was removed from Drupal.org (I think it lived at http://drupal.org/project/issues/subscribe-mail).

This explains the behavior klausi is seeing: my guess is you set "subscribe to own issues" globally at a time the aforementioned page was still available. Your won't be subscribed automatically to projects created after that.

Subscribing. I remember there was a page where you could manage your subscription to all projects. The form was very long and seemed buggy as it included a list of all project so I suppose that's why it is gone.

Can someone confirm that this has been eliminated and you have to manage your subscriptions individually now? Or has this form been refactored and moved elsewhere?

@lee20: The subscriptions are handled singularly, now. There isn't a page to handle your subscriptions to each project queues anymore.
