I may be using the term static wrong. Let me descibe my situation. I have a number of pdf documents on my web site that I'd like to generate an index of and have a page that will let users download them. I can easily write a php script to generate a table with titles and links, however I can't figure out how to get that page to display in the center column. I want to put a menu item in that reads "Download Documents" that brings up that single page. I've searched the site for answers and I see references to admin->create->content, but I think that's a 4.7 feature 'cause I don't see it on my admin menu. All I seem to be able to create are stories that end up in a section, which I don't want. I see how to add a menu item referencing a url and that I can assign that url to the story, but the story then ends up on the front page, in a section, etc. I'd like to just have it displayed when I click the link to it and only then. How do I create content other than stories that I can assign an aliased url?
Thanks,
Jim.
