myspace image gallery bounty

im looking to set a bounty for a module that has a user gallery like myspace.
you access the users gallery by clicking on thier default picture and that brings you to thier mini gallery that only allows like 10 pictures which are displayed on the next page.
then you click on the image you like to view it in full size.
i want to allow users to upload large file size images and creates preview sizes and displays them with the proper aspect ratio based on % not to resize and stretch an image to fit an exact size for an image

i do not know how much to offer but maybe we can hear from someone who can do this module and maybe even get a group of people who also like this module to help chicp in for the price

I'm actually talking to http://drupal.org/user/37679 about developing a module like this. If you are interested in chipping in and talking to Marek as well, that'd be great.

Features/functionality I'm looking for: (maybe all these can be included as settings)

1. every user has a profile page that can be viewed upon clicking their user name
2. text fields for typical profile information: name, location, about me, etc.
3. limit on number of galleries each user can create; to be determined by admin via settings menu
4. limits on number of pictures, file size, and resolution can be toggled/selected via settings menu
5. allows for comments to be posted for each picture as well as general profile

No I can't I was just wondering what was the best way to integrate a MySpace type of module.

I guess the module to make would be best as a module that turns the user profile page into a myspace type of page.

image gallery module MUCH needed

I also am looking for this kind of image module and will contribute to get this off the ground. I am redeveloping this website www.picture-book.com and have gotten stumped with the Drupal core modules. I tried using the Gallery2 integration and have this http://67.15.250.7/~pictureb/ so far but I am not happy with the separation of Gallery2 info and Drupal profile info so that the searches are way too confusing. I've looked at adding this into the profile module but it was not exactly what I wanted because I would like to make use of the views module also.
So, what do I need to do to help?

these modules, nodeprofile, nodefamily, and usernode have all the functionality you are looking for. basically, it allows you to create cck nodes a your profile, these can be extremly versitile, and themed.

it allows limits on node types, hooks the username so that clicking on it links you to the userpage..instead of the account info page.

i use nodeprofile on a few sites and it is great, but i am not sure it solves any of the per user image gallery features. i too would love to see such a feature and have heard there might be a way to do it with Gallery2 or Acidfree. Any ideas?

Marek was working on the project and was almost there but has since gave up on the project without any notification, spoke to him several times and always ignores the question abouit finishing the module so we are now looking for another developer.

Yea, this is exaclty what I have been after. I have started looking at the MySite module but I am unsure if it provides this type of functionality yet.

One question Tom, does your method keep the editing of the images nodes private to the owner? This is a big deal on most sites of this sort.

Yeah only the owner can edit their images and albums if that's what you meant??
