Hello there.

I want to move from a CivicSpace install to 4.7.x

I also think that my current install is real dirty and patched together, at the time I installed it I was forced to tape it all together.

SO IN SHORT, I WANT TO SAVE MY CONTENT (blog posts and catagories and comments) and JUNK the rest and rebuild it.

So can some one tell me if you can, what do I need to move, what tables, and what do I have to add to the table to fix it to the 4.7.x version...

have you tried updating your site with the usual mechanism (update.php) on a test site/backup?

I think the structure of the node table changed, so if this step works, you'll at least have your content available in a 4.7-compatible way. You could then drop and install fresh copies of everything except the node, comment, and taxonomy-related tables, re-enable the blog module, and you'd be ready to re-engineer the site.

yah, but update.php does not know what db to update too... I need to know what number to pick...
