Hi, we were discussing this a long time ago & glad to see such a module back!. Later I saw the module UserOne and alt_login (Alternate Login). And then encountered this new module back in that old discussion.
Ridiculous so many partially overlapping modules, but userone was the only one that really made the difference between screen-name and (secret) user-name, although only for the userone admin account.
Anyway, just some loose ends; maybe some of those modules can be integrated. Maybe the developers can work together in one team on one super module with more features.

bob.hinrichs commentedI agree. Unfortunately it is hard to find the time to do this integration. I did speak with the maintainer of the realname module, and we agreed that this could be an optional method one could enable on that module. However because this module works completely differently, I've come to think that it would only make things more confusing to people to try to combine them, as it would amount to trying to create configurations to choose one method or another within one module, which means you would have downloaded a bunch of code and configuration you are not going to use. Similar case with the other modules. On the surface, drupal suffers form a single problem, but there are many ways to fix it, one of which is best for your situation. So having an array of modules might be the best situation for all.
Thanks so much for your participation.
