bonobo commentedAt this point, we are not planning on setting up a demo site.
We have built a features server that includes some documentation, and some tutorial screencasts.

Tran commentedWithout seeing a demo, I am far less likely to download everything, set it up and spend hours monkeying around with it to make it work.
But If clicked around a demo site and got excited ....

bonobo commentedThe screencasts provide a good overview of what working in VoiceBox looks like.
This screencast runs about ten minutes, and covers installing the site and making some modifications after the initial install.
This page contains 4 additional screencasts that cover customizing your site, importing content, and creating user accounts - these videos run about 25 minutes, total.
RE: "spend hours monkeying around" - hey! That's our job!
Now where'd I put my digging stick...

julienlapointe commentedI want a demo too - especially now that I'm getting a wacky error on the "Verify Requirements" step of installation:
Fileinfo could not load the magic file. It could be corrupted. Try reinstalling the magic file distributed with the MimeDetect module. (Currently using Mime type detection PHP Fileinfo Extension)
bonobo commentedThe "Magic File" message is a documented issue with MimeDetect: http://drupal.org/node/306217 - this link contains the description, and the fix.
This has also been reported and answered in the VoiceBox queue: http://drupal.org/node/927020
This issue is also identified in the VoiceBox FAQs: http://code.funnymonkey.com/faq/error-fileinfo-could-not-load-magic-file...

eric_sea commentedThis would make for a great Drupal Dojo session.
The Dojo's currently runs free training webinars on Drupal on Tuesdays from 12:30 ET to 1:30 ET (http://groups.drupal.org/drupal-dojo), delivered live to Windows and Mac users via GoToMeeting, accompanied by a IRC chat (#Drupal-dojo), and available as a video archive for all users on http://DrupalDojo.com
To sign up to lead a session simply add your event to the wiki Dojo Program Line-up on:
http://groups.drupal.org/node/52023
We'll schedule the event, arrange for the webinar, help publicize and host your event.
Educational / Non-commercial programs only, please.
Check out the Drupal Open Learning Initiative on http://DrupalOpenLearning.org for more information about the new direction we have planed for the Drupal Dojo.
