It would enhance translation work, if translation files would be easily downloadable via one package. Then it could be loaded into a translation memory, which would ease translations at least on clients.

At the moment translations are accessible via single download here: http://ftp.drupal.org/files/translations/

But it would take days to download all single translation files.

Could you please provide a package which contains a all translations within a single .tar.gz file?

Also it would be great to have one directory for each language containing all module translations. A script which creates links to the language files of the current version would be nice.

Hm, i prefere a translationfile for one language-pair like

all-projects.de.po

a file like this can help build a translation-memory for this language-pair, and this realy speeds up translation (especialy for beginners).

Considering all the translation that localize manages, it would results in a lot of files in the tarball.

It would be better to focus on Translation memory support server-side.
