I'm thinking to change my webhost provider and I'm testing Dreamhost, it look like very nice, many features and service but I need to understand if it support my main need

I have many sites running a Drupal multisite installation so that I need to let my customers access (via ftp) to sites/domain-nameA.com, sites/domain-nameB.net, sites/domain-nameC.org, etc.. so that they're able to manage files/, themes/ and modules/ directories, is this possible with Dreamhost.com? If yes, how? I was looking for this but I hasn't able to find it..

I would assume so, they offer a full web control panel, and most control panel solutions allow the creation of FTP accounts.

If they don't (try emailing them and asking) look for a host using DirectAdmin or CPanel, both very good hosting control panel systems, both offering the functionality you want.

You will be able to do this with DreamHost (they have a wiki at wiki.dreamhost.com that answers these questions). I want to weigh in for a moment and briefly mention that while DreamHost has a lot of attractive features, my Drupal sites run so slowly on DreamHost that I quickly went to another webhost for my more recent projects.

This is just my experience with running Drupal on DreamHost, not a criticism of their customer support or other features (which, as I said, are attractive). I don't know if I had bad neighbors on the shared server I was using, but the speed problems never got any better.

Yes it's possible. You just need to create several users / Panel ID's. Each new panel ID may have the restrictions you want.
