Feature request to assign taxonomy tags from the image IPTC "keywords"
we have the IPTC for title and body. It would be really awesome also to assign tags to the node from the IPTC keywords.

This is outside my desires for the project.

Wulff added the photo metadata part, and may have some input here.

Perhaps a form_alter could accomplish what you're trying to do here. (I'm not 100% sure, but it's an idea.)

For photographers this is a must! so I would be very happy if you could find a way to acompish the possibility to import the keywords from image's IPTC field to the taxonomy of the node created for that image.

Thanks for your work. Being able to import name and description is saving me a lot of work!

I don't know if this could help but if any one is trying to work on this (I am not a programmer, sorry!), I found out that in the EXIF module there is a patch for importing keyowrds into a CCK field: http://drupal.org/node/862898
