How to search events by Event date

I would like to search events by date. Not the date of the node-creation but the actual date af the event.
The user should give a start and end date(look at http://demo.eventsoft.pro/). The result should be list of all events within that timeframe.

The search option will be in a block in a sidebar, the results shown in a list on the content of the page.
Similar to the drupal native search function.
