When creating a new node through a site, set the default value for that node's "sites" option to the current site.
example:
- node author goes to www.domain.com/siteA/node/add
- when node is created, it is automatically linked to siteA
Additionally, it does not appear to be possible to set when site that a node is to be published on without having the "administer nodes" permission. The above would hopefully provide a way for non-node-administrators to publish content to a site.
Cheers

mrfelton commentedI think the defaults should be set on a per-content type basis, and for each content type you should be able to choose wether the default setting is for one site, another site, the current site, of no specific site.

hydra commentedAs this module has not been maintained for some time, I am closing this ticket as “outdated”. A new version of sites which is architecturally and technically unrelated to the Drupal 6 and Drupa 7 versions will be published here soon.
Thank you for your contribution.
