I'm impressed by the value this little module adds. I'm not sure of the scope & roadmap for future developments, so I'll make a request here:

I'd like to see the ability to restrict access to sites. Currently, it appears that to access a node it must be viewed through the site it is published on. However, there is nothing preventing a user from manipulating the PURL modifier to that of the node's correct site in order to gain access to it. Any plans to allow restricting a access to individual sites based on a user's role?

Great idea. I'll add it to the TODO list. I'm going to be working on this module for a client site soon, so it should happen fairly quickly. I may be mistaken, but one approach that might work would be to limit the URLs to which certain users can log in. That wouldn't be within the purview of the Sites module, of course.

I'll be rewriting Sites soon so that instead of its own special field on a node, it simply integrates with a given Taxonomy vocabulary which lists all of the sites. Note to self: once rewrite is complete, suggest using in combination with http://drupal.org/project/user_terms

As this module has not been maintained for some time, I am closing this ticket as “outdated”. A new version of sites which is architecturally and technically unrelated to the Drupal 6 and Drupa 7 versions will be published here soon.
Thank you for your contribution.
