searching seems to work ok. the 'Most installed' and 'New themes' blocks don't seem to respect the search filters though, and i'd expect that they would.
hunmonk: I think that's just expectation error. The main content region shows you what you're looking for. The blocks are just giving you (more or less static) listings of other things you might be looking for. They're not trying to duplicate search results.
Setting back to active since I don't think there's a bug here. But, let's get feedback from drumm on this...
@hunmonk: Oh, I see what you're talking about now. You're not worried about the search filter, but the core version selector, right? You selected Drupal core 5.x and the blocks are showing info for D6-only projects. There's something completely fubar with block caching on beta right now.

If you try it on http://redesign.drupal.org/project/themes it works as expected. So yeah, this is a block caching bug, not block generation bug.
