it was wondering if this module had support for resource amount, for example, using a number CCK field in resource content type indicating the total amount of resources of this kind available at the same time. It should be great for reservation systems where there are resources with identical features, like hotel rooms.

I've not used this module yet, but looking for a solution to deal with resource management. I too will need the ability to track a variable amount of items for a specific event. If others have solutions, either with this module, or others; I'd love to hear about them.

The 6.x version does NOT support resource amounts, but a backport of 7 is coming which will, through Rules.
