It appears that the playlist does not support words that have accents or tildes etc. I have a couple of spanish songs on my playlist and the letters that are special characters appear as boxes.

Are you referring to the module itself or in the flash player? I don't think the flash player can handle accents.

Ah, yes I believe that the issue is with the flash player
