Documentation Mentors and Coordinators

Besides the overall team leaders (see the main Documentation Team page), the Documentation Team relies on subject-area coordinators and mentors to help guide contributors. See below for a list of the current mentors, and scroll down to the bottom for a description of the job. If you'd like to be listed here, you can either edit the page and add yourself, or contact the Documentation Team leaders to discuss it (the Documentation Team page tells how to contact the team leaders).

There are also related working groups organized around various Documentation topics, which anyone can join.

Current Coordinators and Mentors

Subject-area Coordinators

The following people have agreed to be coordinators for specific subject areas, topics, or initiatives:

  • Online documentation as a whole: Moderated by the Community Documentation Mentors team.
  • User interface: Bojhan. Contact Bojhan via the Contact tab on his user profile page, or on IRC (see Communications below).
  • Examples for Developers project (code examples for module developers): Iñaki Lopez (ilo) and Randy Fay (rfay). Contact them via the project's issue queue, or find them on IRC (see Communications below).
  • RDF: Lin Clark (linclark). Contact Lin via the Contact tab on her user profile page.
  • Security: The security team, as a group, maintains security-related documentation and reviews existing documentation for security implications. Use the email address on the security team page to contact them, or find a member of the team (see list on their team page) in the #drupal or #drupal-contrib IRC channels (see Communications below).
  • Communications and marketing site content (Docs liaison) and DrupalCamp liason: Lisa Rex (lisarex). Contact Lisa via the Contact tab on her user profile page, or on IRC in #drupal-docs (see Communications below).
  • Git documentation: Melissa Anderson (eliza411). Contact Melissa via the Contact tab on her user profile page, on IRC in #drupal-docs or #drupal-vcs, or by filing a git-related issue in the Documentation issue queue (see Communications below).
  • Distributions: Juan G. (juan_g), and more coordinators welcome to team. Contact via the contact tab on the user profile, or by filing a documentation-related issue tagged "distributions" in the Documentation issue queue.

Core Mentors

Many potential documentation contributors could benefit from some more dedicated guidance or pairing up with an experienced core developer/themer that can support them for technical questions/reviews. These people have offered to mentor writers of documentation related to Drupal Core:

We are looking for more people to volunteer to become topic, subject-area or initiative coordinators, and to mentor new contributors.
