Dear all,

I have installed Drupal previously on my old PC. I installed Apache and got that running. Then I installed PHP and phpmyadmin. Then, the most difficult part, I installed MySQL. When all this was running I installed Drupal.

I went through a lot of issues to get all of this working.

Now I have a Macbook Pro 15, Intel i5.

What are the best installs for all of the above to create the platform to use Drupal?

Thanks for reading this post and answering as it will be a real help to me.

Kind regards,

Which is the best Drupal version to download now?

Could you add the Url.

I had lots of problems with php version and drupal version before so it would be great to have this help.

Btw, I am using Mac OS X 10.6.3

The Acquia Drupal Stack Installer for OS X - http://acquia.com/downloads/mac-installer is the quickest and easiest way to be up and running with a local Drupal installation.

I went with MAMP before I read this. I heard good things about Acquia when I was using PC. I have just installed MAMP and I cannot believe how easy it is so going to stick with this for short term. Thanks for the advice though.

Hi,

I think the easiest way to manage this would be to install MAMP (Abbreviation of MaC Apache, MySQL and PHP) on your MAC.

Sorry for duplicate answer somehow I misses others
