Maybe this guide on the prerequisites for Drupal 6.x on Snow Leopard can help with the installation:

I did re-use the default Apache and php installation, only MySQL was installed.

just wondering, but is this a joke?

1. You posted this on a wordpress.com blog
2. That blog uses the Garland theme, pfui!
3. You only talk about Drupal one small, little paragraph (step 4), obviously that doesn't cover much regarding its installation process. and I'm there's much to say about step 1-3.

Absolutely nothing wrong with using a wordpress.com blog and using the Garland theme. Try to be a little more encouraging if he is in fact new to Drupal.org.

I just wanted to share my setup experience of Drupal 6.x on Snow Leopard.
Once all the prerequisites were setup Drupal installation was a piece of cake, so step 4 is indeed tiny but that only shows how easy the real Drupal setup is.

And indeed I'm new to Drupal but wanted to encourage other newbies...
I also changed the title of post to make this more clear...
