Without any additional configuration, trying to set up a new custom formatter for a multivalue date field, I get the following error on preview, and no output at all:

#warning: Cannot use a scalar value as an array in /var/www/vhosts/onlineworkshops.ibo.org/httpdocs/modules/acquia/cck/content.module on line 2394.

Any ideas?

Changed from 1.5 beta4 to current version 6.x-1.4 as it is sadly an issue in this version, too.

Can you provide me with the formatter code, as you couldn't be previewing a formatter without any could (could you?).

Hopefully I can shine some light on the issue.
