Hello,

Our forum is organised as followed: One "main" container, with one level of sub containers and therein the forums themselves. Users when entering our forum first get an "overview" screen, showing all the forums available, grouped in their respective containers, with a mention of how many new posts there are. Prominently on the upper right is displays a "mark as read" button.
Pressing this button does nothing.
Tthe expected behaviour of a "mark as read" button on this level would be to mark all posts in the displayed forums as read. This does not happen.
How do I solve this? Or is this a bug?

It's not a bug; just a misunderstanding of what subforums are in Drupal. Subforums aren't part of the containing forum, simply children of them. When you mark a forum read, you mark that forum read, not its children. I have an issue in 2.x for making "mark as read" a more powerful submodule, and this could be an option in that, but it's not a real high priority for me and will likely not happen until 3.x.
