Items with related terms are expected to show up on both items

Item 1 - Taxterm 1 + Taxterm 2
Item 2 - Taxterm 1
Item 3 - Taxterm 1 + Taxterm 2
Item 4 - Taxterm 2

I expect the following:

Item 1 -> Related are Item 2+3+4
Item 2 -> Related are Item 1+2
Item 3 -> Related are Item 1+2+4
Item 4 -> Related are Item 1+3

This seems not to be the reality, is this a wrong expectation or a wrong implementation?

Yes, this should be the case. With one correction:

Item 1 -> Related are Item 3+2+4 (in order of similarity)
Item 2 -> Related are Item 1+3 (<--correction)
Item 3 -> Related are Item 1+2+4
Item 4 -> Related are Item 1+3

How are your results different?

Is this perhaps the revisions problem from here? #969034: Empty similarterms block: No records returned due to fetching incorrect revision ID
