http://redesign.drupal.org/success-stories
I love the idea of this page, but I feel it needs some more love. Add a 'featured story' block above the URL list, with a one sentence testimonial from a case study that says something awesome about drupal. Make the block clickable to the full case study.
This page seems designed to brag about the awesomeness of Drupal. Right now, it's a lot of text and a huge list of seemingly random links that are forcing a visitor to navigate more to read about success stories. By redesigning the page so that it's featuring happy people even before you read a specific case study, you get people more interested to actually stick around and read.

Anonymous (not verified) commentedTotally agree! When you see names like examiner.com and a click here to read more link you kind of expect some fireworks to come out but all there is is an alphabetical list!
In the long term something with tabs for showing most clicked/highest rated/most emailed/etc. seems the norm for these kinds of pages when there's lots of data involved, but for the mean time I agree with the OP that we should have a featured case studies block.
There should be more case studies appearing as a result of last weekend's Drupal Brussels meetup, I'll post an issue over on http://drupal.org/project/emr (Enterprise Marketing Resources) to request some for the new d.o. if that will help.

lisarex commentedYes, we need folks to help out w/ keeping all these info / about pages up to date.
It's a pretty huge task...
Keep on the looking for how to help in the Marketing group on groups.drupal.org

EvanDonovan commentedWhere is this page linked in the new Drupal.org?
Even though this issue isn't a duplicate of #940844: 'Sites Made With Drupal' page: suggestions to improve page clarity, I think that the pages should be consolidated into one master page.
I like the proposal of a three-column layout, as suggested in that issue. Also, it has to be dynamic in some way, or else it will easily get out of date.

Amazon commentedAssigning this one to myself as well.

conorc commentedHi there,
Lisa asked me to paste these here. I've been looking to put together a presentation on a showcase of different sites made with Drupal and it was suggested to me that it would be good to look up the portfolios of Drupal Developers. My starting point was these 4 links. Dries's blog is the most informative collection for me, but there's probably better formats to present a showcase than a blog.

There's a good overlap with this list of developers below and the service providers page:
http://drupal.org/drupal-services
Anyway, here's the list I have so far, hope this helps in some way. I've probably left out several significant drupal shops, hopefully no offense caused :-)

conorc commentedHello,
following on from yesterday's links, here's a few listings of Drupal sites from a search

There's probably a fair bit of overlap between them, but hopefully this helps a little.
PS: here's is a wiki of Irish sites, I'm guessing there must be the equivalent of this list for many other countries

All the best,

Anonymous (not verified) commentedI was wondering if it might help if developers could produce more case studies for website they have completed, such as an overview from the developer as to what the client's requirements were, how they went about the theme design, what modules they used and which ones, if any, that they had to tweak. I would see this as having the following elements, from a developer's aspect:
The Brief
Timeline - how long it all took
Features - must-have modules and how they were used to achieve this
The Theme
What challenges they faced in bring the site online.
http://drupal.org/node/862022 has this pretty much down pat in my opinion.
Just wondered if we could see more of this on drupal.org.
Thanks
Julian

lisarex commented@macjules, I like the idea of giving case study writers an outline to work from. I've approached a couple Drupal site owners to say, "I really like your site; it should be a case study" but the response is that they don't have the time or knowhow to bring it all together.

conorc commentedHello,
here's a link to a presentation I gave at DrupalCamp Ireland in Trinity College Dublin yesterday showcasing a dozen or so sites built with Drupal.
http://www.drupalcampireland.org/sessions/showcase-international-sites-b...
Only had an hour, so just couldn't shoehorn any more in as I tried to briefly cover background as well as significant modules for each site. Updated the session page with links to the sites with references to articles and case studies about each of the sites.
Thanks to everyone who wrote up the original cases studies. The feedback that I got from people new to Drupal was that it made it easier to understand some of the potential that Drupal offers when seeing how other sites are put together. Special thanks to Maplight for their succinct video

Anonymous (not verified) commented@lisa rex, I have just been through a presentation with a prospective client and the format I used to showcase my Drupal work was exactly as I laid it out above. Their digital head stated how much she liked the presentation was put together and actually said she would love to see that format used by all developers. Perhaps more devs could put the time in :)
