Feed displays for nodes with comments disabled

I have content type "Group" (OG-enabled) with comments disabled. Comment RSS is set to display aggregated feed "on front page only" and enables individual feeds for each individual post. The feed link displays for "Group" types. Clicking on it seems to print out $content without the page template.
