Job Description
I'm looking for a website manager and developer who can continuously improve the website and make sure that it is running properly. I'll need you to make recommendations on how to improve the site and as long as it is approved by the owners, you can do it. We'll work together on improving the website so that we can grow profits. We're willing to not only give you a base fee of 250/month but give you 15% of the profits as well. The better the website does, the more money you'll make.
We've already gotten the basic website up and 95% of the functionality, but it needs to be improved.
Immediate monthly pay - $250/month or 15% of website profits, whatever is larger.
The $250/month is for the initial work that I expect you to do improving the website until we start doing really well and you get 15%.
15% of the website profits is your incentive to get the website doing REALLY well by making suggestions to me and improving it every month.
I've created http://www.keelyconnection.com which is based in Drupal.
Checkout the website, please register so that you can see how it functions.
Please carefully read the home page to see the nice benefits. It's free for buyers to post and we only charge contractors one time to bid. There are many other benefits to users that we also provide.
Goals:
1) Get the site more user friendly
2) Make the site have a better design all around
3) Get a ton of people using the website
4) Constant improvement to features
First thing I want to do is get a facebook Like box on the homepage and put a smaller facebook link on every page so that people can "like" our page if they haven't already. Check it out on the website -- http://www.facebook.com/keelyconnection, we have almost 700 fans!
Second, I want to create a twitter account and make it so that every time someone posts, a summary goes to twitter.
Third, I want to make the website easier to use for people (design and some functionality).
This should be pretty easy for you to understand once you take a look at it. You must be organized and must be able to make changes to the website and make sure everything is still up and running for customers.
APPLICATIONS FOR THE JOB
I'm only interested in people who take time and read this and write a response. If you write a stupid copy and pasted cover letter, you're out.
Please write in your application:
1) Who are you and why can you do this job?
2) You must show me at least 5 websites, and they must be functional on your domain. Meaning if you own http://www.abcdefg.com, I want to see your best websites at http://www.abcdefg.com/website1, http://www.abcdefg.com/website2, http://www.abcdefg.com/website3, http://www.abcdefg.com/website4, http://www.abcdefg.com/website5, fully functional to prove that they are yours. Most should be Drupal based sites.
3) Please write your suggestions on what you would do in the first month to improve the website.
Skills Required:
php, html, MySQL, Photoshop, Drupal
Must be GREAT at clean, and professional looks for making the site have a fantastic user experience.
E-mail me at alexander858@gmail.com with your proposals. Thanks in advance. I look forward to working with one of you on this and developing it. As soon as we make some initial improvements, we'll start even more advertising to get this site off the ground.

I will not be applying for
I will not be applying for this job as it isn't really one that I am looking for, but I thought I would comment on this:
Most proper developers will have separate domain names for each of their sites. On top of this, most proper developers will be spending time building other people's sites as well as their own, and may not have five of their own sites, but have hundreds of sites they can refer to that they have built.
Something to consider.

more friendly advice
To be honest the amount of money you're offering (without any mention of the time commitment) is downright insulting--even for a junior entry-level developer. You'd be better offering no compensation and instead offer a real stake/partnership in the venture. In addition the tone of your request comes off sounding very heavy-handed, which is not conducive to attracting a favorable/quality response.
My two cents.
Unrealistic ...
Hi,
With your budget you are really targeting a junior developer (a very, very junior developer). You might want to town down your requirements and adjust your expectations, the *average* rate for Drupal developers in London is around £400 per day.
P.s. I don't know why any developer doing real world development would have five Drupal sites on a single domain.

This "Keely Connection" buyer-seller concept might have worked - if you were the first to do it in the 1990's.
