Hi all, sorry, not meant to post junk :-)
Just wanna tell how great Drupal 7 (beta) is, and I really like new theme used by Drupal.org.
Sorry if its too late for me, but I did some test on Drupal 7, and finds out abt new theme of Drupal.org... just know :-) awesome!!

It makes me even more like to use Drupal as my primary cms, and for other project as well... more and more :-)

is anybody know when the first stable drupal7 will be release ?
i newbie & want to start my career in drupal from this version.
it is wise to use drupal7 beta for start development now..?

i have installed drupal7, and so far not found any bugs.

thanks, i hope drupal7 will be winner againt wordpress 3,
thats the only big rival for drupal i think.

I recommend learning 6.x anyway. I have been tempted to wait for 7.x too, but I think a lot of opportunity for developers will remain as some clients will not want to go through the nightmare of a version upgrade. Even with Drupal's ease of use and a great community, upgrades probably aren't any more fun than other platforms.

Also, Drupal versions are two deep. That is, once 7.x is in stable release, version 5 will no longer be supported. I hope to have my skills honed for both supported versions at any given time.

I think the new theme is much harder to read. Too much clutter and not enough contrast in the headings. It's not easy on the eye at all.

I agree the new theme is harder to read. Of course you could increase the Gama on your monitor :-)

If I got my hands on a theme like this, I'd definitely work on contrast and color, but give them their due... it's well organized and not full of a lot of "overhead" to make it look fancy.
