In the admin page, don't show admin settings if the js file isn't installed yet. Instead, warn them that it is missing and tell them how to resolve this.

The link for the snowfall.js is downloading a file which is not having any content in it. There is nothing in the archive downloaded

I've updated the link on the project page. Thanks!

Interesting the .js file in now under a BSD License. BSD files can be included inside a gpl platform.

Thanks
Robert

It's been a long time and no one is having any problem with the link to the file it seems. Closing the issue.

manoj.surala, I see your confusion, but the original problem here is that there is no warning that the file is missing when it can't be found, not that the link itself is problematic. Your comment was actually off-topic.

A fix to this would be a patch that presents a warning such as "The snowstorm.js file can not be found. Please download from X and place in directory Y."

Or we do what I did in 7. Include the now BSD Licensed file inside the release.

Thanks
Robert

Right, even better. That should be an easy enough patch.

My bad, you are right.
