I think this module can definitely go places but it would be good to get the current -dev branch or -alpha branch up to date so everybody is on the same page. Could somebody with commit rights kindly update the module and create a -dev release?

There aren't any patches that have been reviewed and are ready to be committed. As patches are found they are committed and added to the module. The current -dev release is always available on the "Show All Versions" link. http://drupal.org/node/289697 is the link directly.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that you are getting this type of question (here and #940708: What is the Status of this module) because there are no Development releases on the project page. Why isn't the current dev you linked listed on the project page? Perhaps "Show snapshot release" isn't checked? http://drupal.org/handbook/cvs/quickstart#comment-1013447 Thanks!
