Switching to SemVer. Besides that, 4.0.0 is just a bugfix and feature release of 8.x-3.x with no breaking changes.
^10.3 is the minimum Drupal core requirement as older versions are EOL.
This is the first beta release for fieldgroup with drupal core 8.3 and higher support. People with latest drupal 8 version should update to this version.
People that still use drupal core 8.2 or lower, should stay with 8.1 branch of fieldgroup.
Biggest new features
- a premature "multipage" fieldgroup
- automatic field inclusion when featuring a fieldgroup
Bugs can be followed by the commit messages.
A branch 7.x-2.x has started as well which will include panels integration, moving horizontal tabs to the elements module and some other bigger changes.
- Added required asterixes to field groups to indicate that there are fields nested that are required.
- Human readable and improved configuration descriptions (summaries) for field group settings.
- Implemented the access check to follow normal flow.
- Added and later improved the upgrade path from d6 to d7.
- Lots of smaller bugfixes.
Field group solved a couple of major issues like collaboration with profile2, showing asterix when a required field is inside, added documentation. This release candidate periode should not take very long. So try it out and gives some feedback to boost the module to a first stable release.
