What does the watchdog say? (That update shouldn't be throwing any errors.) You can see the watchdog at /admin/reports/dblog

I need the second watchdog report, for update.php, that begins 'Attempted to fetch information about all available...'

I have what looks like the same error. I was updating from Drupal 6.17 to 6.19, while emfield 1.18 was installed. No modules were being updated at the same time.

I got the same error as above: "The update process was aborted prematurely while running update #2 in emvideo.module. All errors have been logged. You may need to check the watchdog database table manually."

The only report in the dblog is the following. There was no error recorded.:

Running update.php again produced the same error, but no entry at all in the dblog.

I cannot update to the latest version of emfield because of the problem reported in http://drupal.org/node/639582.

With thanks.

PS. Trying to update a number of other modules gives the same problem, except that the emfield error aborts the operation before the others can be completed.

Updating to emfield 1.25 makes no difference.

The only way through seems to be to explicitly exclude the emfield updates in the update.php "Select Versions" screen.
