I just download xmlsitemap-7.x-2.x-dev from the site and still get the same error. This is a new install only thing install is panels and xmsitemap.

I'm using the latest module code and Drupal 7.0-beta2 and I cannot replicate the errors. There are no calls to that function in the code at all.

the dev code seems to fix the issue. the beta version seems to be the isssue
